maplewood, mn. found weak and unable to fly white pigeon in parking lot thursday. has red plastic ban on right foot with 006 or c06 written on it. took inside, fed, gave water and is doing much better as of yesterday. alert, trying to fly in its enclosure, can hold head up, etc. will try to release in a couple days if no contact from its owner. nice pure white pigeon found 11-14-2018, plainfield, il. flew inside my garage when i had the door open. seems very tame. no band on legs. white feathers go all the way down legs to the feet. is eating and drinking well. is missing a quarter sized patch of feathers on back of neck. maybe a hawk tried to get it. free to owner or to a good home. found a banded pigeon. green band on right leg sand yellow band on left leg. the only number i am able to make out is 18 on the green band. i am not able to capture the bird but am with it and she seems safe. if this is your bird she is at 8366 beverly blvd. los angeles ca she seems healthy but had difficulty trying to fly. can't get close enough to see what's on the leg band. it appears to be a green band. this bird has been on our house roof through the summer. i'm afraid it won't survive the winter. any suggestions what we can do? we called animal control and dec and they can't do anything. beautiful well cared for all white pigeon showed up at my business, hanging under my front porch in the wood rafters for about 2 weeks. we called local animal control but they said nothing they can do. unfortunately we can not see any bands, we have been feeding it but is becoming a nuisance with cold weather coming heâ€™s not going to make it much longer and we donâ€™t want to have to kill it. hoping someone from local rhode island chapter could come and take it. bird is located at scituate famous pizza, 92 hartford pike n. scituate r.i. thank you John • jlang62683 at gmail dot com

i am sorry that i can't seem to get a good reading of the band. there has been a pigeon in our neighborhood for a couple of weeks...around the time of hurricane florence on the east coast. the band is a light blue or teal. i believe i am making out an 'ac' but nothing else yet. i have tried to get close. it lets me get fairly close but won't stop moving for a good picture or to catch it. please let me know what to feed it to hopefully get it to come closer. also, how to identify where it might belong and how to send a picture. had someone call me at 9:30 last night about a bird on a car for 3 hours. easy capture, thankfully. has 3 bands. Orange colored band AU 2018 12260 no other info. Has a white band and a green squarish band, too. Thank God for the internet. via JEDDS, found the Club President Alis Acosta, I think in Ft. Myers,FL. He's to have the Owner and an English speaking person call me. Had my neighbor translate as the guy speaks only Spanish and I don't. He kept hanging up on me. Figured I'd post everywhere I can.
